No Sound on DVD Created in En & Pr CS5

      Hello Everyone,

Last month I created my first DVD in Encore with no problems. This month I'm having audio problems. Like before I dropped my DVD in a stand alone DVD machine, no sound. So I tried another, again no sound.

So I went back to Encore and noticed audio channel one was clicked but my sound was on channel 2. For some reason Encore would not allow me to move the audio file to another audio channel (to channel 1). No biggie, I clicked channel 2, and rebuilt another disk. That yielded the same results. Now frustrated, I tried my PS3. I played with the audio settings and discovered the sound was on both disks but not where it should be. It was located in some sub location titled English.

I opened my previous project for comparison. Unfortunately I did not see any difference, though I know there is something different.

Like my previous project file this is also an MP4 file.

Both projects were built in CS5.

How do I correct this & why did it happened?

Dont know why, best option is to rebuild the Encore project from scratch.

You can re-use the menu is you built it yourself in Photoshop. First save the menu to a known location then import as menu in new project.

Ann's suggestion will fix a host of odd problems.

If it doesn't then you may be doing something wrong.

Encore doesn't have channels; do you mean tracks? Why do you have 2 audio tracks? When you "import as timeline" your mp4, you should have only track 1.

I suggest posting a screenshot if a redo does not fix this.

Note that an mp4 is not the best option for source files. Encore creates fewer problems for you if you create assets that are demuxed (separate file for video and audio). And such issues can create no audio on the disk. But it should have nothign to do with which tracks Encore uses.
