Jeff_Coatsworth Aug 1, 2014 8:58 AM (in response to cybereye@me.com)Are you talking about AIRHelp files created in RoboHelp or an application running on AIR?

cybereye@me.com Aug 2, 2014 3:10 AM (in response to Jeff_Coatsworth)In my case, I'm attempting to download a PDF file transferred via Adobe AiR, My Adobe Reader doesn't load AAir files. And I can't seam to download Adobe Air to my iMac 10.9.4. From this point I'm not knowing which is the best, most effective Adobe product that will allow iMac 10.9.4 to download and work with Adobe Air Pdf files?

Peter Grainge Aug 3, 2014 12:43 PM (in response to cybereye@me.com)Adobe AIR is a development tool so I don't know what you mean by a PDF transferred via Adobe AIR.
Tell us more about who has sent this file and what it is about, then perhaps we can point you in the right direction.

cybereye@me.com Aug 6, 2014 8:19 AM (in response to Peter Grainge)First off Peter, Thank you so much for responding to my dilemma. In retrospect, I probably should refrase the question as such. " What is the best method or procedure for downloading PDF files via Adobe AIR when operating with a iMac running Maverick 10.9.0? " As it is it seems as though this request is discouraged by Adobe Air. Although I have succeeded to download a PDF file using Adobe AIR, I don't recall how I did so due to so much frustration during the process. Any valuable feed back would be appreciated. Again I thank you.

Jeff_Coatsworth Aug 6, 2014 8:29 AM (in response to cybereye@me.com)Once you package the PDF file as a baggage file in your RH project, the AIRHelp output will let you access the PDF both from within the help (provided you’ve got a link to it) and outside of it – if it’s the locally-installed flavour of AIRHelp, then the files are installed wherever you told it to be installed.

Captiv8r Aug 6, 2014 8:36 AM (in response to Jeff_Coatsworth)Hi all
I stand to be corrected here, but I think the original question isn't really related to RoboHelp and its AIR output. My guess is that cybereye is talking about AIR rather generically and I'd further guess that s/he has no clue what RoboHelp even is.
Then again, only cybereye can say for sure... Rick

Peter Grainge Aug 7, 2014 12:23 AM (in response to Captiv8r)@Rick
That is why I asked for more information and that has confirmed this question has nothing to do with a .AIR file produced by RoboHelp.
@cybereye
Developers use AIR to produce apps. Your problem is either with using AIR or with an APP produced using AIR. RoboHelp produces online help and it can use AIR for that. The people who use Rh, the people on this forum, have no idea how Adobe have made Rh do that. You are in the situation where a programming language, let's say VB has been used to produce two apps, App A and App B. You have a problem with App A and you are asking in a forum for App B.
