Trouble installing/updating Adobe Flash Player- Closing applications sign frequently pops up

Hello,

I’m having trouble installing/updating Adobe Flash player. I keep getting a screen that says to close Safari, but after closing Safari, I still get that same notification and thus I was not able to complete the installation- it stops at 97%.  Any suggestions would be highly appreciated!

Reboot

If prompted, uncheck the box about re-opening any open windows.

Run the installer
