Can you please elaborate more on the issue.What exactly happens after you enter your adobe id?

Do the screen goes away or ask you to enter the details again?

Please rename SLCache folder present at location "<root drive:>\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\SLCache" and then try to login.

Can you please explain how to do this?  I am experienceing the same issue, and not sure what you are stating.  I found the folder, but unsure what's the next step.

I changed the SLcache name and it took me to a bigger loop.  Now I get as far as choosing Licensing or Trial...I choose Licensing, enter the correct serial # and it says it's verifying but then I go back to the beginning again...PLEASE HELP ME...I'm so sad that I can't use my newer version!

What shall I rename the file?

I tried giving in just a random name and I geet error 16 when I try to start PSE 12

Please restart your machine and also rename opm.db present at location:C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE

Hi shikha, I was given this thread as a reference because I see to be having the same issue.  I still haven't been able to fix this.  I have done everything that you recommended to suebob22 and still not luck and I don't know if this was ever solved for suebob22.  Do you know if she was able to fix it and/or do you have a solution for me?

Same reply as Photoguy_2014 - I have tried everything suggested in the above, but nothing works.

As soon as I rename the SLCache folder, or opm.db file, PSE12, creates new ones next time I attemp to login and then just hangs at login screen...

After 3 days and several attempts with tech support chat I finally got this fixed.  I had to talk to a product specialist, but the problem was a proxy setting in internet explorer.  Here is a screenshot of what was done.  After this was done I was finally able to complete the activation of the software and unlock the full licensed version.

I also changed the compatibility mode for the software to Windows 7

Unfortunately, it made no difference - although I'm running Windows XP, so your solution may not be appropriate anyway.

I have this same issue, trying to resolve it. What is the step by step procedure to get to renaming it...? Not really familiar with SL Cache and how to find it...
