I hate programs invading My Documents, and want my library in a place I choose. I can't find a possibility within the program, will I have to hack the registry or what?

Adobe Digital Editions does not have a setting anywhere that allows you to tell it where to store your ebooks for you. However, if you manage your ebooks yourself and put them in a folder where you would like them to be and then add them to Adobe Digital Editions, it does not seem to move the ebooks from the directory they were originally in.

Adobe Digital Editions will still make a directory in your "My Documents" folder though for storing the application data that it writes (the list of books it knows about, the last time you read the book, thumbnails of the book, etc)
