asdfiuasdklasdhf Aug 19, 2014 1:41 PM (in response to John T Smith)- It was fine this morning. I figured the computer had good nights rest and sorted it's self out. I've been cutting all day since about 930 and at 430 it started dropping audio in the timeline. I did notice that the audio levels in the meter are drop off when the problem occurs.
- What version of Premiere Pro?
- 8.0.0 (build 169)
- Have you installed the recent updates? No.
- What operating system? Windows 8 Pro
- What kind(s) of source footage? I believe it's ex or xd cam. some 5d as well. it's in a unhelpful .mp4 wrapper that won't open in quicktime.
- If you are getting error message(s), Audio Dropout Detected at 00:05:54 in "169_2183_01.MP4"
- What were you doing when the problem occurred? Nothing different than I'd been doing all day
- Has this ever worked before? You mean broken? Yes Yesterday about this same time?
- What other software are you running? Chrome, Word, VLC
- Do you have any third-party effects or codecs installed? NO
- Tell us about your computer hardware. Be especially certain to tell us about third-party I/O hardware Nothing out of the ordinary. The Audio card is an ASUS Xonar Essence STX
- Are you using Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration? Yes
- Does the problem only happen with your final output, with previews, or both? Both

asdfiuasdklasdhf Aug 19, 2014 1:45 PM (in response to asdfiuasdklasdhf)It seems to be working again. No idea what prompts it. Oh wait. It happens when I enable Mercury transmit for full screen playback on my 2nd monitor.
