When I originally downloaded Digital Editions I did not authorize my ereader and now it will not allow me to do so.

When I originally downloaded Digital Editions I did not authorize my ereader.  I have deleted the original download and reinstalled Digital editions but now it will not allow me to do so.  I cannot copy an ebook to my ereader
