Steve Cordero Aug 21, 2014 11:09 AM (in response to No\Nickname)Yes, you do need to uninstall Adobe Acrobat Standard XI before installing Adobe Acrobat XI Pro.

No\Nickname Aug 21, 2014 11:22 AM (in response to Steve Cordero)Ugh!!! I have PitStop Pro 12 installed in Acrobat XI Standard as a 3rd party plug-in. Do you by any chance know if will survive the uninstall of XI Standard and be installed in XI Pro?
If not, then I have to deactivate it before uninstalling Standard, reinstall it after installing Pro and then reactivate it.
Even though I hate the answer you provided, I appreciate you responding and doing so very quickly.

Steve Cordero Aug 21, 2014 11:28 AM (in response to No\Nickname)The Acrobat uninstallation "should not" remove the Pitstop plug-ins but I don't know how PitStop registers it's software plug-ins as being installed either. You should ask the folks at Enfocus about that item.

No\Nickname Aug 21, 2014 11:45 AM (in response to Steve Cordero)Thanks again, Steve. I'll keep my fingers crossed and give it a shot after checking with Enfocus.

abailescollins Aug 22, 2014 6:37 AM (in response to No\Nickname)PitStop will be installed in the Plugins folder in your Acrobat standard. If you open up the application folder or package and look in the plugins folder you will see a folder called 'Enfocus PitStop' or similar.
If you copy that to your Desktop and then install Acrobat pro, once the install is complete you can then move the folder to the same plugins folder in Acrobat Pro.

Test Screen Name Aug 22, 2014 7:54 AM (in response to Steve Cordero)It isn't very time consuming to reinstall PitStop if needed. However, I suspect it will survive because Acrobat Standard and Acrobat Pro have the same plug_ins folder (one reason you can't have both).

abailescollins Aug 23, 2014 6:18 AM (in response to Test Screen Name)That could be ok then, I know we get comments from customers when they upgrade Acrobat that PitStop is not there, I guess that's because it's a independent installation in it's own folder

Test Screen Name Aug 23, 2014 6:42 AM (in response to abailescollins)The plug-ins folder belongs to Acrobat so, if you go between Acrobat versions, all plug-ins are always lost. But in this specific case only, going from Standard to Pro of the SAME VERSION, the plug-in may be found.
