1. Re: Adobe CS 6 Separated PDF issue
Larry G. Schneider Aug 29, 2014 8:41 AM (in response to HeidiLynnJacobs)So if you turn off the Spot colors in the PDF in the Separations Preview, you see nothing on the Black Channel? No trim marks or anything like that? Another question, why are you using Distiller in this day and age?

HeidiLynnJacobs Aug 29, 2014 8:46 AM (in response to Larry G. Schneider)That is correct, there is no black in the artwork whatsoever. I've disabled all legends and printers marks and copied the artwork into its own file to test. I've even eliminated any non printable items like dieline or dieline information. There is only one space in the artwork that is showing this. At first my thought was that it was an embedded effect on a clipping path from an agency, but the only effects set on the specific item is corner round.

SRiegel Aug 29, 2014 8:51 AM (in response to HeidiLynnJacobs)Is there any white defined in the file as 0C 0M 0Y 0K, or even as 0K? If so, try changing it to 0% of one of your spot colors.

4. Re: Adobe CS 6 Separated PDF issue
Larry G. Schneider Aug 29, 2014 8:51 AM (in response to HeidiLynnJacobs)If you use Expand Appearance on the Item with the Effect does it then go away? Check carefully in the Appearance panel for extra strokes/fills hidden in the contents lines or applied at another level like Group or Layer.

CHMprepress Sep 1, 2014 7:17 AM (in response to HeidiLynnJacobs)Can you poste the file?
We have Nexus to I could try it for you, but better send me the original file and not the EPS.
Why are you using EPS anyway?
Do you have the Nexus Total RIP?
