Ann Bens Aug 31, 2014 6:22 AM (in response to Cine Real)When Premiere is acting weird, restart computer and hold down shift+alt when opening Premiere until welcome screen.
See if that will help.

3. Re: Motion feature is not available under the Video Effects tab for MP4
Cine Real Aug 31, 2014 1:52 PM (in response to Ann Bens)I thank you for trying Ann, and I was willing to try anything, but no joy. SIGH!
It is strange. I have two formats of video in the very same sequence. MTS and MP4. MTS seems to work but MP4 does not.
I transferred the MP4 clips to another sequence by themselves. No Joy.
I added them to another sequence in which I had no problems with the motion and size change features. Still no Joy.
I imported the entire project into another brand new project. No Joy.
I tried to find any video effect that will enlarge the video and give me the same effect. No Joy.
Sometimes one simply has to accept the inevitable. The work still has to be done. I just cannot use the Video Effects tab for MP4.
Essentially, the Motion option just does not appear in the Video Effects tab, at least for the MP4 clips. It is clearly available and useable for the MTS clips.
Other suggestions are welcome.

Ann Bens Aug 31, 2014 2:14 PM (in response to Cine Real)I would have asked if you could upload a small mp4 file for me to test.
But I do not have 5.5 on a computer anymore.
But you could post an analysis of the file in treeview.

Peru Bob Aug 31, 2014 3:13 PM (in response to Cine Real)I've had that happen on other types of files in CS5.5 I saved the project as a different name, ran CCleaner, and restarted and it always fixed it for me.
