Barbara B. Sep 6, 2014 8:48 AM (in response to TucsonJeff1)Have you tried converting a couple to jpeg yourself to see if the results are any better?

TucsonJeff1 Sep 6, 2014 9:51 AM (in response to Barbara B.)Yes, because I can control the compression/quality setting. If I set the compression/quality setting to "maximum," the output is quite acceptable. Unfortunately, Adobe allows you no control of this setting when uploading to Showcase.

Barbara B. Sep 6, 2014 3:02 PM (in response to TucsonJeff1)Sorry I wasn't clear. I meant have you checked uploading a jpg to see if photoshop showcase has any respect for the quality setting in an existing jpg?

4. Re: PSE 12 uploads to Adobe Showcase convert to poor quality low-res JPG's! Totally unacceptable output!!
TucsonJeff1 Sep 6, 2014 6:30 PM (in response to Barbara B.)Yes, as an experiment, I took one of my PSD files and converted it into a JPG on my computer, using a compression/quality setting of "maximum". As I viewed the JPG in Photoshop Elements, the output quality was excellent. So, next I uploaded the same JPG to Photoshop Showcase, which I did within the organizer. During the upload process, there was no option available for compression/quality setting. When I viewed the JPG file in Adobe Photoshop Showcase, the output was once again quite horrible, and it was obvious that Adobe automatically converts uploads to the very poorest JPG quality possible -- probably to save space on their website. I think that Adobe made an unfortunate move when they abandoned their previous photo-sharing site, photoshop.com. Although I appreciate your input in this matter, I think I'll be looking elsewhere for a decent photo-sharing site (which won't include Adobe's costly "Revel").
Thanks again,
J
