1. Re: Issues importing photos into lightroom 5.6
seanvoisen Aug 31, 2014 10:58 PM (in response to Epstein Photography)I'm having the exact same issue with my Fuji XT-1. The only workaround I've discovered is to use Adobe Bridge to convert to DNG, and then import the DNG into Lightroom. The latest update to Lightroom 5.6 seems to have broken the ability for Lightroom to read the Fuji XT-1 RAF files.

dj_paige Sep 1, 2014 5:04 AM (in response to seanvoisen)Neither post has actually described the problem. What happens when you try? What is the exact, word-for-word error message?

puhyme Sep 5, 2014 12:05 PM (in response to Epstein Photography)Just bought the XE2 raw file and same issue with importing to LR 5.6. I see the thumbnails status bar shows importing but no images come thru then error message "could not copy a file to the requested location". I normally leave them in there root folder. Changed the location to new folder and they imported.

4. Re: Issues importing photos into lightroom 5.6
Epstein Photography Sep 13, 2014 3:09 AM (in response to dj_paige)When I try to import my images, both RAW and jpeg from my Fujixt1, both from the card reader and directly from the slot on my computer, I initially see them as thubnails in Lightroom and it appeast like they are being imported, but after the import bar is finished, no lonager seeing any of the photos. then an error message comes up it also says: "could not copy files to the requested location" I have not had this problem when I had an earlier version of Lightroom. Any specific help in getting these files into Lightroom would be must appreciated. Is there an update that will help make this issue go away. It used to be so easy to just upload directly. Thanks!

5. Re: Issues importing photos into lightroom 5.6
dj_paige Sep 13, 2014 9:04 AM (in response to Epstein Photography)This error message probably means that the location you are copying your photos to does not have WRITE permission. Change your permissions on that directory.

Geoff the kiwi Sep 13, 2014 1:39 PM (in response to puhyme)Again, it will be a permissions issue with the folder you are wanting to import/copy to....

Elly G Sep 14, 2014 3:55 PM (in response to dj_paige)I don't know how to change the permission in the directory. I am using Office 2007 to store my photos in a folder. How do I change the permission?
