1. Re: Captivate 7 - jump back and forth between projects
Husky Rich Nov 9, 2014 2:43 PM (in response to 66822)I'd like to piggyback on this question. I've been able to open the second project, leaving the first open in another browser window tab. When the second is complete I can close it and get back in the first project where I left it. But that's it, I have no idea how to go to specific slides of a second project based on a setting from the first using just the tools in Captivate. I'm an old Authorware user and it had a "Call and Return" function that worked along this line. I don't see anything like in Captivate.

2. Re: Captivate 7 - jump back and forth between projects
Lilybiri Nov 10, 2014 3:05 AM (in response to Husky Rich)This is not available in CP. Only workaround available, limited to SWF output, is the Load and Save Data widget by Michael Lund aka cpguru. It allows to pass variables from one file to another: you could store the slide number/label in such a variable and when returning use that variable to jump to the wanted slide.

66822 Nov 12, 2014 5:26 AM (in response to Lilybiri)Thank you all for your help and interest, especially you Liybiri - I guess I'll have to live with the two-windows - they won't allow third-party widgets where I work at, because of security concerns, and my AS3 programming skill is not up to doing a similar widget myself. Living with two windows is not really a bother, it's more like an un-aesthetic solution, I guess. And like Husky, I think your blog is great, too!
