1. Re: exported video missing 2 hours at the end
A.Kubba Sep 22, 2014 8:47 PM (in response to curlyquote)Hi,
What is the version of premiere pro that you are using?
What are the sequence settings?
Did you try and clear the media cache?
Thank You
Arjun

curlyquote Sep 22, 2014 8:53 PM (in response to A.Kubba)I'm going to try clearing the media cache now and retry. (It takes 6+ hours to export since it's such a large video ) I'll let you know if it works. Thanks!
I'm using version 7.2.2 (33). The sequence settings are these: http://i.imgur.com/TTQsVgv.png

A.Kubba Sep 22, 2014 8:54 PM (in response to curlyquote)Hi,
After clearing the media cache, try pasting the timeline in a new sequence.
Thank You

shooternz Sep 22, 2014 9:30 PM (in response to curlyquote)Thanks, please let me know if I can send you diagnostic information in order to resolve this problem.
No thanx...
I am happy that You Tube is doing the world a favour by preventing anyone from having to endure six hours of video.
Why dont you break it up into Parts? ( A serial)

5. Re: exported video missing 2 hours at the end
curlyquote Sep 22, 2014 11:19 PM (in response to shooternz)Haha, good question! I'm actually using youtube as a place to archive certain friendship activities, and the activities don't have clear stopping/starting points. I'd rather just keep it in one large video, and I've easily got the disk space for it.

6. Re: exported video missing 2 hours at the end
shooternz Sep 23, 2014 1:52 AM (in response to curlyquote)So the only problem then is still exporting it and then some one has to navigate it.
You may also be running into file size limits.

7. Re: exported video missing 2 hours at the end
curlyquote Sep 23, 2014 8:55 AM (in response to shooternz)I doubt that, I've done this many times in the past (at least 15+) for videos this long and large (8+ hours). I've only had a problem recently.
This runtime error just happened overnight while exporting: http://i.imgur.com/vtfRKz8.png
The exported video ended up being 1kb large, which is new behavior. I'm going to try exporting again and will post what happens here.

8. Re: exported video missing 2 hours at the end
imagelinevideo Sep 23, 2014 9:01 AM (in response to curlyquote)some stupid question.
But is there a grey bar above the timeline with a in en out point?
When your grey bar is not covering the whole timeline it wil export only that part where the bar is standing.

9. Re: exported video missing 2 hours at the end
curlyquote Sep 23, 2014 7:29 PM (in response to imagelinevideo)Returning to report that none of these solutions have resolved my issue. What is the next step?
I'm exporting the entire sequence, imagelinevideo. There is no problem there. Even my video player believes there to be 6 hours of video, but when I seek to the latter half of the video, the video player (VLC) stops playback.
Thanks in advance!

10. Re: exported video missing 2 hours at the end
Mark Mapes Sep 23, 2014 9:50 PM (in response to curlyquote)If you import it into Premiere, what does it report the duration to be, and can you play/scrub the entire duration?

11. Re: exported video missing 2 hours at the end
curlyquote Sep 25, 2014 9:40 AM (in response to Mark Mapes)When I import it into Premiere, it reports the duration to be the same as my media player, about 6 hours. If I bring it into a timeline, I can play/scrub for the first 4 hours or so, and then after that (for the last 2 hours or so) the video stays on the last frame that was displayed. It can't play that part of the video either.
Actually, Adobe Premiere Pro becomes unresponsive once I scrub to some place in the video that doesn't work, and then try to remove that video.
I just uninstalled and reinstalled all Adobe products on my system (besides the Creative Cloud tool), and I'm still having problems.
Moreover, I'm now getting errors when I attempt to export video. This is what it says near the end of video export: http://i.imgur.com/ledNjDy.png
I'm using the Youtube 1080p H.264 export codec, with no changes, fyi.

12. Re: exported video missing 2 hours at the end
curlyquote Sep 25, 2014 8:11 PM (in response to curlyquote)I just tried exporting using a custom 1080p H.264 codec instead of the Youtube 1080p one, and it worked. Really odd! Thanks for the advice, I don't need any more help now.
