Presenter 10 + PowerPoint 2013 + Windows 8.1 x64 odd behaviour

Presenter 10 Menu suddenly disappeared so I tried to remove and register again the MenuLauncher.dll COM AddIn.

Once I try to add this DLL again, via PowerPoint 2013 options, COM AddIns, it says it is not a valid PowerPoint AddIn.

Notes:

- I have opened PPT as Administrator...makes no difference;

- I have tried to open AdobePresenter10.exe and it says "Check if Adobe Presenter Add-In for Microsoft PowerPoint is enabled";

- I have tried to register this DLL via regsvr32 prompt command, it also doesn't work;

How to fix this?

Regards,

Fernando.

Testing with another machine today, running Windows 8.

Suddenly Presenter 10 menu disappeared...tried the same fix procedures...nothing.

It seems a general error...I'm surprised anybody else is not complaining about this.

Difficult to buy a software that suddenly stop to work with no apparent reason and there is no way to recover it.

Any word from Adobe?

Should we look for an alternative solution at the market???

Hi, Fernando,

I had similar issues. I was advised to use Office 2010 and to make sure that I am in the administrator built-in account. The other admin accounts are not full.

If you contact the Chat, they can do this on the remote mode. It may not be very fast, but they are more proficient. Better uninstall Office and Presenter and install them again with Office first and with the right settings.

Enabling the Add-on Presenter does not last. Only proper installation of everything lasts.

One of the issues I had was due to the fact that:

Office 2010 has 32 bit

Office 2013 has 64 bit

Presenter 10 has both options: 32 bit and 64 bit

I reinstalled Presenter from the 32 bits folder for my Office 2010. It is stable now.

Hi Maragreta,

I have checked my Office 2013, it is 32-bit.

I have removed it and will install 64-bit to see if things work better now.

I don't want to use Office 2010.

Thank you for the suggestions.

I will let you know how it goes.

Regards,

Fernando.

Hi, Fernando,

If it is 32 bit then install only from the 32 bit Presenter  folder.

I had quizzes without text displayed and that was another reason.

Margareta,

I have uninstalled both Office 2013 32-bit and Adobe Presenter, reinstalled Office 2013 64-bit, reinstalled Adobe Presenter and now it is working.

Let's see if it will disappear as it was happening before...

Regards,

Fernando.
