xxxxxxZZZZTTTT00000 Jul 8, 2014 1:28 AM (in response to slachney)Have you received any reply to your complaint yet (I see you sent it some 3 weeks ago). I have the same stupid problem. It takes forever to upload, and towards the end of the supposed upload process, I get that messsage that the file could not be uploaded. I can't tell you how much time I have already wasted trying to send a single file. It is possible to send documents (like a Word file), but I have had no luck with the 1GB video I need to send.

bob.treitman Jul 8, 2014 5:29 AM (in response to xxxxxxZZZZTTTT00000)Are you using Adobe Send or SendNow? We are working on the issue of large-file uploads with Adobe Send, but as far as we know, everything is working fine with SendNow. In fact, we're encouraging Adobe Send users who are having trouble with large-file uploads to use SendNow until those issues are resolved.

xxxxxxZZZZTTTT00000 Jul 11, 2014 7:54 AM (in response to bob.treitman)I am now in a place where I have super-fast Internet, so I can now exclude the transfer rate as a problem. I am using https://cloud.acrobat.com/send to send the video files.
My video camera creates MPG files, which are not allowed by Adobe! Why not? Adobe only needs to transfer the file, not open it or read it. So now, before using Adobe Send, I have to go through the wearisome task of converting each and every student presentation before sending it to them. Sorry, but this is all too much for me; I simply need to send stuff. I had Hightail (youSENDit) before and I never had any difficulties.

Here is the list of files that are not accepted.
(I just used Adobe Send to successfully send a ~200MB .mpg file.)

xxxxxxZZZZTTTT00000 Jul 11, 2014 8:14 AM (in response to bob.treitman)Unfortunately the message screen always disappears (programmers should make the messages inside the boxes copy&paste-able so that they can be forwarded to the help center).
Let me try to describe wht I am doing and seeing as I go thru the process. I have just completed the send mask and selected the video from my computer, and clicked on the button "SEND". Thereupon the page greys out, and I see a progress bar in the upper right hand corner of the screen with the filename and a wheel spinning above it. OK, it is uploading...still uploading...still uploading... I'll be back in just a couple of minutes...

bob.treitman Jul 11, 2014 8:23 AM (in response to xxxxxxZZZZTTTT00000)Please try a smaller video file. I want to clarify if the issue is with the file type or the file size.
Also, what is your upload speed? Please go to testmy.net and run the SmarTest upload speed test. Please let us know your results.
In the meantime, I will try to find an engineer to look at the server logs for your upload.

xxxxxxZZZZTTTT00000 Jul 11, 2014 8:50 AM (in response to bob.treitman)Wow, yes, the problematic file is there (actually in triplicate because I tried to send it three times today). The only thing I did differently was send the file link to myself; could it be that Adobe is rejecting the e-mail address of my student, to whom I want to send the file? Do you have to be an Adobe customer or registered with Adobe to receive a link to a file?

bob.treitman Jul 11, 2014 9:01 AM (in response to xxxxxxZZZZTTTT00000)No, the recipient need not be registered with Adobe. I'm not sure at this point why you got the error message that there was a failure; we'll look into that. Unfortunately, our server logs indicate that your uploads were successful (which is why I suggested you look for them in your Acrobat.com files).
In the meantime, you should be able to send the file by choosing Acrobat.com Files instead of My Computer in the Send dialog. In the future, try simply uploading to Acrobat.com the file you're trying to send, and then selecting it from your Acrobat.com Files list.

JFYI: For some reason I am also able to send the MPG videos without any problem -- which saves me a lot of time because I don't have to convert anything..

JohnlMcArthur Jul 28, 2014 6:45 PM (in response to slachney)I am having a very similar issue.
I am trying to send a 5.7 Gig mp4 file. I have tried to do so on both a OSX and a Win7Pro 64 bit system. Both give a file failed to upload when the file is 80% done. Interestingly I tried a 8.4 Gig version and had the same issue at about 90% uploaded so It does not seem to be the file size.
I got this service specifically for this purpose.
SendmeNow tells me the file is too large.
Any assistance would be appreciated.

bob.treitman Jul 28, 2014 6:55 PM (in response to JohnlMcArthur)Which service are you using? Adobe Send or SendNow? (We don't have anything called SendmeNow.)
For SendNow, which is about to be retired, the limit is 2GB.
We're currently experiencing problems with large-file uploads to Adobe Send (our newer service), so I would not be surprised that a 5.7GB file fails to upload. At this point, I'm not sure when this will get resolved (which is one reason why we have not yet disabled SendNow).

xxxxxxZZZZTTTT00000 Sep 28, 2014 12:41 PM (in response to bob.treitman)Hi Bob, hey everyone,
Bob, regardless of the name, the Adobe send services just don't work for me. I have really wasted so much time uploading into the nothingness of cyberspace.
Have you Adibe guys seen the window for uploading? This is the most useless window I have ever seen. There is a status bar and a link that says "Remove history" (which "hixtory needs to be removed from the upload window?). There is no info about the upload speed or the time remaining. There is no abort upload button -- the only way to abort the upload is by signing out. And there is no information about what happened to the upload (except that it couldn't upload. It is not even clear whether any data has been transferred, and so you always start over again. Sad, sad, sad programming, Adobe.
OK, Bob, so I don't know what's wrong with the Adobe services. I managed to send some 1GB video files back in July, but now in September nothing has worked anymore (as you told me back in July, I used https://cloud.acrobat.com/ and tried to upload directly to "Acrobat.com Files", to no avail).
BTW: I also went over to my DropBox account, and the uploads failed there, too. Then I opened an account with WeTransfer. I am now paying €120 a year, and it's more than I can afford right now, but at least it works and saves my sanity.

bob.treitman Sep 29, 2014 6:17 AM (in response to xxxxxxZZZZTTTT00000)Which service are you using: Adobe Send or SendNow? From your description of the user experience, it sounds as though it's the former. If that's the case, I suggest you post your comment in the forum for that service (this one is for SendNow).
The fact that you're experiencing problems uploading to Dropbox makes me wonder if there is something amiss with your internet connection. Though since WeTransfer works for you, I am not sure what to say.
How large is the file that you are attempting to upload?

bob.treitman Sep 30, 2014 1:59 PM (in response to catlittle123)Please try to send the files through our new Adobe Send service. You can log in there with the same Adobe ID and password as you use for SendNow.
Also, can you take a screenshot of the message that you're seeing and post it here in the forum? I'm curious as to where it's coming from -- our service, the web browser, the Flash player, the operating system, or even your internet provider.
What operating systems do you have on your old and new computers?

bob.treitman Oct 3, 2014 6:04 AM (in response to catlittle123)Thank you for providing the screenshot. I found a discussion of this particular message on a Microsoft website:
This explains why you're seeing the same problem with DropBox - it's a setting in Windows. The good news is that if you follow the instructions on Microsoft's website, I think that everything will start working for you once again.
Out of curiosity, how large is the file that you were attempting to upload?

catlittle123 Oct 3, 2014 9:35 AM (in response to bob.treitman)I will give it a try when I get a minute. I do hope it will work. There are MANY files I cannot upload. This particular one is 66MB. I can do a 30MB. With my OLD computer I have sent up to 250MB with your program............... Most of my files are very large.
