Adobe Digital Editions will not recognize the NOOK for downloading library books.

Have been using ADE every two weeks for three years and have never had a problem until today.  The symbol for the NOOK does not appear in the ADE window which of course doesn't allow me to download to that device.   What changed?  Any help would be appreciated.
