Peter Spier Feb 9, 2010 8:39 AM (in response to maduko)Editing a style should be reflected immediately in the text. Are you sure you edited the correct style? Click in one of the paragraphs and check the Paragraph Styles panel. Is there a plus sign?
You can reformat a paragraph, then right click the style name and choose "redefine style" and the change should be reflected throughout the document, as well. A last resort would be to do a GREP find change for .+ with the style in question in the find format. Leave the change filed blank and set the same style in the Change format options. That should remove any overrides, if memory serves.

2. Re: Apply Updated Style
maduko Feb 9, 2010 8:50 AM (in response to Peter Spier)I'm good now.
I think my problem was going directly to the stylesheet dialog and making my change. This time I dropped my cursor on the first offending example and then double-clicked the style name. It worked great.
Thanks.

Seanb_us Oct 2, 2014 9:02 AM (in response to maduko)Hi,
I am having the same issue in ID CC. When I change the font used by a style, and even the style it is based on, all instances of the style do not change.
I did try the Grep approach, to no avail. No .+ found.
Thanks for any advice,
Sean

Seanb_us Oct 2, 2014 10:47 AM (in response to Seanb_us)What seems to work, and I'd like to know why, is making an ad-hoc change in the Character panel, and then right-clicking the style in the Paragraph Styles panel and updating it.
