1. Re: Using Watch Folders with MXF files
nw42 Oct 2, 2014 7:36 PM (in response to ceesmoore)what type of video codec is inside of the MXF container? XDCAM AVC-Intra DNXHD JPEG2000?
AME doesn't recognized the MXF as video files but Premiere does?

ceesmoore Oct 2, 2014 8:58 PM (in response to nw42)Yup. Weird, huh? To get media encoder to recognize them without sending
them from Premiere you have to take them out of the wrapper folder.
The files are AVC-Intra.

nw42 Oct 3, 2014 8:08 PM (in response to ceesmoore)seems to be the old problem that you can't load separated audio and video data as source...

thnord Oct 6, 2014 2:44 PM (in response to nw42)I've looked in to this and my assumption is that your source is P2 MXF in a folder structure. In that case, the watch folder will not add the video files because they are nested within a folder structure. There is a way around this however. Instead of copying the entire folder structure in to the watch folder, you can place shortcuts to the video files in the watch folder and AME will treat them as the source material.

like a charm!
