Logarithmic instead of linear volume curves in the timeline

check out these two volume peaks. Because Premiere shows the volume curve in linear units the first one goes up to -3dB and the second to about -20dB. However, perceptually there is not much difference and it's very hard to get the second one below -20dB without massively enlarging the waveform. Is there any way of switching to a logarithmic display / control of the volume curve? I know that you can add logarithmic effects but that's a pain. For example here the channel "Radio/Josh" is a radio mike which needs to fade while the actors walk away from the camera and I need to adjust the volume according to the action.
