dbradhud Oct 30, 2013 3:13 PM (in response to fixbone)I am having the same issue with 9.5.5. I think that large gray wedge in the upper left corner is the view/hide triangle. I rely heavily on the bookmarks. Is anyone having this issue with 11?

lawrencelawfirm Nov 1, 2013 8:44 AM (in response to fixbone)Having the same issue here running 9 pro. I've looked through bookmark settings, adobe preferences, accessibility under system preferences and haven't come up with anything. Looking forward to a solution!!

sherihy Nov 8, 2013 9:08 AM (in response to fixbone)I am having the same issue. Running Acrobat 9.5.5, the PDF was created from InDesign 5.5. Everyone who is also seeing this issue, what program created the PDF files?

9. Re: change size of sidebar textboxes after installing mavericks
uhebeisen Jan 13, 2014 8:15 AM (in response to fixbone)same thing here, after upgrading to Mavericks the bookmarks of any pdf-file are useless in this way. Either I have to use Preview since in the latest version Preview supports the bookmarks in a pdf-file or another third party pdf reader.
I have also tried Reader XI and Reader Pro XI but they didn't allow me to configure the symbollist to my needs (my main focus is on reading and navigation - not on forms). Therefore I am fine with Reader 9.5.5 all the commands I need can be configured to fit well on a MacBook Pro 13".
And I think there are many useres out there having similar needs .. and hardware.

dougalmac Jan 20, 2014 6:21 AM (in response to uhebeisen)Also having problems with this issue. We produce reports that are sent as pdfs to our clients and bookmarks are an essential tool to accessing them. Preview is not a solution!!

12. Re: change size of sidebar textboxes after installing mavericks
jlhopes16 Jan 28, 2014 8:17 AM (in response to fixbone)Does anyone know if Acrobat X (Pro) works properly in 10.9 Mavericks? I am thinking of upgrading the whole suite from CS5 to CS6, but it doesn't make sense if I will still have issues with Acrobat.

c.h.g. boyd Jan 28, 2014 8:34 AM (in response to jlhopes16)Not sure about X, but I ended up upgrading to Acrobat XI Pro, and that fixed the problem.

16. Re: change size of sidebar textboxes after installing mavericks
citrada Sep 3, 2014 8:30 AM (in response to yinsadobe)I just had the following conversation with Adobe, seems it is fixed in XI and is not supported before that.
Todd: Yes, I am having the same issue with my Adobe acrobat bookmarks that you see in this thread. Is there any resolution to this?
Todd: https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1323192
Ramamurthy: Thank you for the information. I will be glad to find out what I can do to make it up to you.
Ramamurthy: May I know the version of the Acrobat you are using?
Todd: 9.5.5
Ramamurthy: Okay.
Ramamurthy: Todd, I wish I could help you with that issue but we (chat support) handles issues with Acrobat XI.
Ramamurthy: In this case please visit our forums and post you issue on our forums, so that our experts will answer to your query.
Ramamurthy: Is there anything else I can help you with?
Todd: So who can I can I talk with that might be able to help me with this version
Todd: No one is answering the forums from Adobe as usuall.
Todd: This forum post is almost 10 months old?
Ramamurthy: Todd, I would like to inform you that as the Acrobat 9.5.5 is an older version we do not have online support for this product
Todd: Yes, I realize that, but does anyone from Adobe even bother answering or looking at the support forum. Or is this just ignored because this is a an older version of the product?
Ramamurthy: I would like to inform you that the issue is fixed in the upgraded version.

17. Re: change size of sidebar textboxes after installing mavericks
Nitrux Oct 5, 2014 3:46 AM (in response to fixbone)Count me in either. I have the same problem with Acrobat Pro 8 on Mavericks. The adobe support is obviously no help. I give up and chose the upgrade. Unfortunately the oldest version for upgrade is Acrobat 9, so I will have to spend about 400 EUR to get my proper bookmarks back. This is ridiculous.
