Peter_Green Oct 6, 2014 7:33 PM (in response to Peter_Green)Ok, I have a clue here. I just happened to open my old laptop that I rarely use anymore, and it had the files waiting to be opened there. This leads me to believe there are two possibilities:
- Send to... sends the file to all of the machines that are linked to my account, and my main machine is just being weird.
- Send to... sends the file based on some machine priority, in which case, after poking around on creative.adobe.com I could not find any way to see which machines are authorized and how to switch the order.
Any ideas? Do other folks that have multiple machines know if the Send To... functionality sends it to all of their machines, or just one?

The Send to Illustrator/Photoshop operation sends the file to all of the machines linked to the same account you sent the file from in the Mobile apps. The first time after you restart the Creative Cloud app, the Send to... operation can take longer to receive these notifications to launch the desktop app and open the file, specially with older releases of the Creative Cloud app. Can you confirm your version for the Creative Cloud app? The latest version is 1.8.0.447. You can find this information in:
Settings\Preferences\General Tab\Account
Also, updated versions for Adobe Illustrator is 18.1.0 and Adobe Photoshop is 20140926.r.236

I updated everything yesterday, but just to be safe I checked version numbers:
CC App: Version 1.8.0.447
AI: 18.1.0
PS: 20140926.r.236 x64
As I said, it did launch the files on my older laptop, so I'm sure the backend functionality is working from the iPad to the service, but for some reason on the new laptop it's not getting from the service to the desktop. I think the next thing I'll try is to uninstall everything and reinstall.

turns out the iPad time/date was wrong. it was one day behind. i fixed that and immediately "send to illustrator" works from adobe draw!
