    what is adobe send?

    Barbara Hamaker

I just got an email from Adobe telling me about Adobe Send Now replacing Adobe Send.  I have no idea what either of them are.  I have Outlook for Mac 2011 and use Outlook for my email connected to an office server that uses PCs/I have a mac.  Can anyone tell me what this about?  Is this how Outlook sends email attachments--thru Adobe Send?  Thanks.

          Hi Barbara,

Adobe Send is one service in the Acrobat.com family of online services. Use Adobe Send to send files as links, and track the files that you send to specific individuals. When you use Adobe Send to send your files, it's unnecessary to worry about email clients rejecting large files. And, you can use Adobe Send to track what you've sent, rather than relying on your email system as a storage system.

On May 12, 2014 Adobe SendNow began transitioning to a brand new service called Adobe Send. Adobe Send is part of an improved, integrated set of Adobe document services that makes sending large files even easier by allowing you to send files you have stored on Acrobat.com as well as files from your desktop.

Adobe Send is available beginning May 12, 2014, and will replace Adobe SendNow later this year. When it becomes available, SendNow subscribers will automatically become Adobe Send subscribers and can start using the new service to send and track large files online at no additional charge. Until mid-July, you’ll be able to use both Adobe Send and SendNow.

So how is it associated with my Outlook email account?

              Hi Barbara,

I think you may have received that email in error. This message is for folks who have an Adobe SendNow subscription, letting them know about the timeline for complete transition to Adobe Send. You can disregard.

              I apologize for the inconvenience.

              Best,

              Sara
