1. Re: Repeated "Some files failed to sync"
Warner Harress Oct 14, 2014 7:53 AM (in response to bonzon)Hi Bonzon,
Can you send me your full Creative Cloud log to me at harress@adobe.com please, I will examine your log in better detail. Could you also supply some information on steps or actions your took to see these errors?. I will also open a bug on our systems for this issue.
Thanks
Warner

2. Re: Repeated "Some files failed to sync"
bonzon Oct 16, 2014 12:02 PM (in response to Warner Harress)I sent the log to Warner and he found the issue. He says it will be fixed in a future release of Creative Cloud.
The problem is due to accented letters in file and folder names, aka double byte Unicode characters. They are currently not supported by Adobe. As soon as any character in a filename - or any of its parent folders - has an accent, syncing fails. E.g. the ç in "François" should be changed to "Francois".
Using only ASCII letters is of no practical use to me, though. I already have a lot of files and folder names with accents, referenced in links when placing media files, so I can't change them without breaking a lot of things.
I'm surprised I didn't read before in Adobe help and documentation about this important limitation, in a "known issues" or similar section. Because it's been weeks since the syncing of accented letter fails.
