When I publish my site it doesn't show up in my domain.

I have my domain with 1&1 as well as business catalyst.  When I hit publish, and it asks for my domain I input it.  However it shows the progress bar working and it opens a window on my browser but there's no site.  Why is this happening and how do I get it to work?
