Mark Mapes Oct 16, 2014 12:22 AM (in response to Nelson.R)Exactly which version of Premiere Pro are you running, as displayed in the About box. If you're on 2014.1, did the project originate in an earlier release?

cc_merchant Oct 16, 2014 4:55 AM (in response to Nelson.R)On such a seriously underpowered machine completely kill Avast. It is a huge resource hog and no good at giving any protection. Best to remove it altogether.
Your machine is extremely slooowww and you try multicam with it? No wonder it is lagging and freezing. Slower than molasses in winter.

Nelson.R Oct 16, 2014 8:50 AM (in response to Nelson.R)Thanks for your responses. I have unistalled Adobe creative cloud, exactly to try to fix this issue but now i cant reinstall. It gives me error 50. I will report back once I am able to install again. the only solution to this might be formatting since I was on the phone with adobe support for 3 hours yesterday to no avail. They will call back today to try again. By the way, thanks adobe for the support, I've had previous issues that you solved instantly. cc_merchant, the lagging might have been due to a slow pc, and I can live with that. But the freezing is not because I have edited several weeks with no problem of freezing and then suddenly it became unbearable.

Nelson.R Oct 16, 2014 7:59 PM (in response to Nelson.R)Ok, i'm back. Reinstalled adobe creative cloud and adobe premiere. I have version 2014.1 Release, 8.1.0 (81) Build. I still have the same problem, I emptied my computers temp folder and the recycle bin which i believed helped to install adobe again, and no i did not format the pc. Maybe i should try deleting all the folders like oobe and stuff like that. I think I will try that tomorrow morning. Please give more sugestions though if you have any. Oh and I have not yet unistalled avast, but that is on my list

RedDirt Oct 16, 2014 8:20 PM (in response to Nelson.R)Many of us with the same issue -- even on Macs. No solution yet -- except to revert to 8.0.1 (2014.0.1) for the time being, until there is (hopefully) a 2014.1.1...

Nelson.R Oct 17, 2014 10:10 AM (in response to Nelson.R)Thanks RD, I checked those discussions. There is a few differences in my problem from the others. It started just before i updated, that is why i updated. and mine does not "freeze" but "unfreeze" i could call it. I just did a while of editing flawlessly, but now the same thing happed. I played my timeline and now i cant stop it anymore. It keeps playing and there was no lagging in my source monitor. it just doesn't stop. There is nothing I can do except wait for about 5 min and then it will eventually realize that I pressed stop. I can also force close but i lose my changes that way. Will downgrading help me in this?

Mark Mapes Oct 17, 2014 11:37 AM (in response to Nelson.R)If you're working with multicam sequences, then it sounds like you're hitting the issue discussed here: Fast playback (multicam) won't stop until end of timeline reached

8. Re: Premiere Pro is Lagging and freezing
Nelson.R Oct 17, 2014 4:30 PM (in response to Nelson.R)Thanks a lot mark, I must have missed that one while googling. I have a slow machine so it still lags a little, but the interface freezing I had doesn't happen anymore, as long as I don't have an audio file selected while playing. For your info, I'm Running win 7 x64, and intel i3 2100 CPU @ 3.1GHz, 8 GBytes DDR3 Memory, and a NVIDIA GeForce 210 Graphics card with 1024 MBytes of memory. Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2014.1 8.1.0 (81) Build. I have 3 cameras on a multicam sequence that i made by creating a new sequence from a sequence. Two are MTS format with AVCHD Video, 1920 by 1080, 29 fps and 256kbps. One is MOV Format with Quick Time Movie, 1920 by 1080, 59 fps and 17915 kbps. I edit in 1/4 quality due to lagging. I work on two screens by dragging my project monitor onto my second monitor.
Thaks for the help, now I just dont select an audio if i want to play the sequence.
