1. Re: Partial Scoring on Matching Quiz Slide in Captivate 8
Lilybiri Oct 20, 2014 10:37 AM (in response to JEFFSTOLZ)Only one type of question allows partial scoring: MCQ with multiple correct answers.
Workaround is to create a custom question slide. The score can be stored in a variable, you'll have to collect the variable. Have some blog posts about partial scoring in custom question slides, before it appeared for MCQ in Cp. Here is an example:
Widgets and Custom Questions - part 2 - Captivate blog
I once created a custom matching question slide for a client (who never paid), using the D&D interactive widget from InfoSemantics, but that is only for SWF output. And it had partial scoring.

JEFFSTOLZ Oct 20, 2014 2:07 PM (in response to Lilybiri)I can’t help but be disappointed that Captivate doesn’t address the issue of partial scoring and created a solution for other types of questions besides multiple choice.
I need to have partial scoring for matching questions and I would like to do partial scoring for drag and drop. I guess I will have to refer back to my Advanced Actions /Variables book by Infosymantics and figure it out. I have purchased the Master widget from Infosymantics but have not had the opportunity to use it yet (In school for my ID Certification and full time job leave me limited time).
I will try to figure out my options and again, thanks for your quick reply.

Lilybiri Oct 20, 2014 2:32 PM (in response to JEFFSTOLZ)For SWF output it is certainly possible with the mastery widget.
