1. Re: Unknown Error during export a quicktime .mov with h.264 codec and additional audio trouble
Kevin-Monahan Oct 23, 2014 3:27 PM (in response to AWIMedia)Hi AWIMedia,
Why export with a QuickTime wrapper and not just H.264 native? Can you try that?
Thanks,
Kevin

AWIMedia Oct 23, 2014 11:02 PM (in response to Kevin-Monahan)Hi Kevin,
thank you for the answer. All exports to other formats work well, also the h.264 native. But I am wondering why the quicktime wrapper does not work anymore, I used it the last two years.
The second problem is that with the audio of videos: When I import a video with stereo sound, the preview is ok, but in the timeline/sequence I got only mono audio. The sequence settings are ok.
Altogether there goes something wrong with my premiere pro. Yesterday I did a new clean installation, but the 2 problems still exist.
Thanks again

3. Re: Unknown Error during export a quicktime .mov with h.264 codec and additional audio trouble
jrwing Oct 23, 2014 11:14 PM (in response to AWIMedia)Just as a note, even though it is technically possible obviously to export an h264 in a quicktime .mov wrapper, it is not usually advised to do so. H264 is natively .mp4 and those files have fewer issues and higher quality at smaller file sizes (I find) even at the same settings! I used to do the same for years as well because I was used to it, but after having some issues with people unable to open and dealing with large file sizes, I was finally convinced to start producing h264s the way they were meant to be...
I know it doesn't answer your question but just wanted to put that out there.

AWIMedia Oct 23, 2014 11:52 PM (in response to jrwing)hi jrwing,
your are absolute correct with your argumentation. Thank you! In future I will use the native format.
Nevertheless it is essential for me to solve the export and audio problem. Is there anybody else who can help me?
thanks a lot
