Flash Player update can not connect on install

Hi. I'm running 10.9.5 on a late 2013 15-inch MacBooh Pro, with Safari 7.1

Trying to update the Flash Player, every time it opens the installer at 30% progress and it says 'Lost Connection. Trying to reconnect'. I have tried maybe 15 times, on 3 different networks (2 of which I know are stable), in 2 different cities, so I'm sure its not the networks I'm on.

I tried to insert a screenshot of the error message, but that doesn't seem to work either, of course. And yeah, it's WAY under 8.7MB

What gives?
