Update of Flash player on Mac OS X

I have a Mac OSX 10.6.8 - installed the Flashplayer numerous times and there is still a warning that my I am blocked because of updates.  Even my email is blocked.  How can you shut down your browser and still have access to install? I have rebooted my Mac and that still does not work.  Help, I need access to my email.

Apple is blocking older versions of Flash Player.  Please make sure you have the latest version installed to ensure you don't get the blocked plugin error.  You can download the latest version using the offline/standalone installer at the bottom of this page, Installation problems | Flash Player | Mac.
