Zedits Oct 31, 2014 1:00 PM (in response to rkelly0137)Yes but isn't lightroom for light editing/photo management and not used as a file browsing system? Also is there metadata to tag each photo I.E. "blue skies" "Smoke" etc..

Ronald Keller Oct 31, 2014 1:18 PM (in response to Zedits)It's both although I would not describe it as light editing. It is very powerful and as such has a respectable learning curve.
You can tag each photo to your hearts content. You can also make metadata templates.
Create collections, smart collections based on metadata and so many more features...
Why not try it...

rkelly0137 Oct 31, 2014 1:22 PM (in response to Zedits)Lightroom is intended to be a file management system, from importing your files, organizing and filing, sorting and rating, editing, tagging, to publishing. It's not as advanced as some digital asset management programs out there but it can do most everything Bridge can do; albeit with a little less flexibility in layout. I'm sure there are differences when you get down to the nuts and bolts, but Lightroom is certainly capable of browsing and tagging.
