Flash Player Installation

I can't update my flash player. Every time I download the file, I am unable to open it. I get the installation window but the application fails to open all the time. What should I do?

I have a mac by the way.

Try the offline installer http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/current/support/install_flash_player_osx.dmg
