Blue yeti, skype, windows 7, and Audition 5.5

I'm trying to help a friend record Skype calls using a Blue Yeti mic. Windows 7 and Adobe Audition 5.5. He wants to record both the mic signal and the Skype audio at the same time. I tried selecting 'stereo mix' as the input device, but audition keeps showing a sample rate error. I suspect a conflict between the blue mic and the on board sound card. I'm hoping someone here has a way to make this work!?

This can be a bit of a minefield these days, especially if Microsoft gets in the way - and it does. On the other hand, there's a list of alternative software solutions to this - here's a list: How can I record my Skype calls?

Thanks! A dedicated Skype recorder turned out to be the solution here. We went with amolto as the free version offers unlimited audio recording.
