Dashboard Client

I have Yosemite OS and when almost completed, it tells me to close Dashboard Client.  What is that?  I have everything closed.

A) What Adobe product are you trying to use?

B) When what is 'almost complete'?

My Adobe Flash Player is out of date.  When I try to upgrade, it downloads the installation but when I go to install it I get the Dashboard Client message.

If you choose the Apple icon from the upper-left of the screen, then choose Force Quit, you should see the option to kill Dashboard Client.

If not, you should be able reboot into Safe Mode to complete the installation.

Reboot the mac, and hold Shift while it comes up.  If you did it right, you'll see a loading bar, and the machine will take a far longer time than usual to start up.  Once the machine comes up, run the installer, then restart to get back to normal operation.
