I cannot even load the flash web pages- "Get Adobe" etc does not load. "http://get.adobe.com/shockwave/" does not load. Does not work in Chrome or IE. Using Windows 7, 64 bit I think

You start writing about Flash Player, but then you post a link to the Shockwave Player download.  Two completely different products.

Try downloading the Flash Player offline installers for Windows

• Flash Player for ActiveX (Internet Explorer)
• Flash Player Plug-in (All other browsers)

P.S. Chrome has its own built-in Flash Player; you don't need - and cannot - download it.
