Ran CS5 cleaner
Ran CCcleaner for Adobe.
Reinstalled CS5
Still having the exact same problem

molmik Nov 4, 2014 8:00 AM (in response to JWH_Berlin)I have the same problem. I have tried to download the update files separatelly. I could install step by step but the newest updates can not be installed using adobe update. There is no costumer desk to help???

and told them I had already posted to the forum they directed me to concierge and then they directed me here again. Bottom line...Adobe doesn't care about customers with older products.

If the update mechanism within the products themselves is failing (Help > Update) a workaround is to download and install the update manually outside of the app.
Updates for the individual CS5 products can be downloaded from the below link. Just find the product and operating system section for which ever one is failing and download the update manually and install it with the affected program closed.
