jim_sullivan Nov 4, 2014 11:33 AM (in response to giewrg)Well, if it's anything like what I experience, the audio continues to flow without interruptions or stutters, but the video moves forward in fits and starts. So you hear the words, but the lips aren't moving with them.
This has been going on for a while. That and the Flash plugin just sucks my CPU. Flash has been a pig for a while now, but Adobe doesn't seem to want to do anything about it.
Windows 7 Professional, FireFox 33.0.2

AdobeWilko Nov 4, 2014 1:14 PM (in response to jim_sullivan)Hi Jim,
Yes that is exactly what I'm experiencing! I understand now, thanks to your post, that it is indeed a flashplayer problem and i guess there is nothing else for me to do now than to wait for the 'magical' ;-) update that will correct this annoying new little flashplayer feature...
greetings, Wilko. (TheNetherlands)@

giewrg Nov 5, 2014 12:33 AM (in response to AdobeWilko)Is it the images will skip forward while the sound still moves as per normal?

7. Re: Flashplayer 15.0.0.189 has visual interruptions, sound is perfect
jim_sullivan Nov 5, 2014 11:32 AM (in response to giewrg)I think this answer is unacceptable. I've been experiencing this problem since 13.whatever was released and it never gets resolved in the next release. The feedback I get is, go back a level (or two or three or four) and see if that solves your problem. The problem is that it doesn't and then you're running some insecure release of Flash that makes you vulnerable.
That's just unacceptable. Particularly since Flash seems to just be an all consuming process on my system. It's consistently in the top 10 of CPU usage and that's not because I'm playing games. It regularly crashes and I regularly am submitting crash reports.
Adobe needs to step up, admit that there is a problem, and fix it.

AdobeWilko Nov 6, 2014 3:08 AM (in response to jim_sullivan)Hi Jim,
"Adobe needs to step up, admit that there is a problem, and fix it."
True words if ever I heard them!
I am simply not prepared to step down a level or two, since at least half of the movies play perfectly and yes, I also want to have maximum security on my system and as everybody knows, this lies in the latest version of it all or at least, should..
By the way have you ever thought of moving to windows 8.1? At first I experienced a nasty crash when I was still running 8.0, but now after having moved on, everything works like a charm and really very fast! The 'Apps Invasion' that everyone dreaded at the arrival of 8.0, has been succesfully countered by me I think and now it all rememberes me very much of old XP, that I used for at least 12 years, without ever crashing ONCE.. (still a world record in my book).
On the other hand: "computers, you can't live with them or without them", or so they say, isn't it? ;-)
Greetings, Wilko.

jim_sullivan Nov 6, 2014 11:22 AM (in response to AdobeWilko)Continuing this (not that I expect anything to actually happen), but today I go to this link: Greatest sandwiches in movie history: Supercut top 10 (VIDEO). because I'm getting ready for lunch and there's nothing like watching the greatest sandwiches in movie history. Terrible video performance, smooth audio. CPU usage for the Flashplayer plugin goes to +40% of CPU.
