Premiere Pro CC2014 (v8.1)
Adobe Media Encoder (AME) CC2014
Windows 7 Pro 64-bit SP1
Problem: DV 720x480 (0.9091 4:3) jpg distorted when encoded to 640x480 (square).
In Photoshop CC2014, I create a
720x480 (0.9091 4:3) jpg with a circle.
In Premiere CC2014 using "NewSequence From Clip", I create a sequence from a
DV 720x480 (0.9091 4:3) avi.
I then add the 720x480 (0.9091) jpg with a circle into the sequence.
With Adobe Media Encoder (AME) CC2014, I create a
MP4 using 640x480 (square)
Windows Explorer properties says that the MP4 is 640x480.
In VLC and Windows Media Player (WMP), I play the MP4 on a LED 1920x1080 monitor.
The circle is a ellipse along the horizontal axis instead of a circle.
I thought AME would scale so the original 720x480 (0.9091 4:3) jpg with a circle would become a 640x480 (square) which would display as a circle.
Why is MP4 elliptical instead of a circle?
My ultimate goal is to display the MP4 on YouTube.
Thanks in advance.
Still images have square pixels. Make the circle with PAR 1.0 instead of 0.9.
