1. Re: Appcrash with multitrack sessions in Audition CS6 on a MacBook Pro with Windows 7
ryclark Nov 5, 2014 3:49 AM (in response to CELindoro)Since you have the Premium Suite presumably you have Premiere Pro installed. Does the audio in video files, which are normally 48K, play back OK in Premiere? Does Audition work OK if you start a fresh 48K session and import 48K audio files?

2. Re: Appcrash with multitrack sessions in Audition CS6 on a MacBook Pro with Windows 7
CELindoro Nov 5, 2014 4:41 AM (in response to ryclark)Hi ryclark,
thank you very much for your interest. You are right, there is also PP installed and all my multitrack sessions are an "export" from PP to do the sound mix in Au, and yes, most of the clips are 48k files.
Answer1: Yes, the 48k audio files work OK in PP, I just tried some 48k files out of a multitrack session (which doesn't work with Au on the MacBook but on my workstation)
Answer2: No, you can't start a 48k session, only 44,1k sessions. In the moment you click OK in the "new multitrack session" window with any of the sampling rates you can choose (excluded 44,1k) the crash happens.

3. Re: Appcrash with multitrack sessions in Audition CS6 on a MacBook Pro with Windows 7
CELindoro Nov 7, 2014 4:53 AM (in response to CELindoro)Well, this appcrash with audition on a MacBook seems not to be a worldshaking issue for the community. But for me - as you may understand - it's severe, because it disrupts my work.
So I try some other question to the community:
- Is there somebody out there using audition CS6 on a Mac(Book) with Windows (7)? And does this combination work with multitrack sessions and different sampling rates (successfully)? Which model?
- Is there somebody who dealed with multitrack sessions (on what platform ever) and got an (app)crash using different sampling rates but not with all ?
3. Is there somebody who got an appcrash with audition CS6 and a fault module name: StackHash_0a9e ?
4. May I ask the staff members: Did Adobe do successful tests with Audition CS6 on a MacBook with Windows 7, especially with a Intel Core
i7 4870HQ ?
I hope imploringly that this will bring us (that's my colleagues and me) another step towards the target.

4. Re: Appcrash with multitrack sessions in Audition CS6 on a MacBook Pro with Windows 7
ryclark Nov 8, 2014 4:40 AM (in response to CELindoro)I doubt that there is very much experience of using Audition with Windows on a Mac. Anyone using a Mac will be running the Mac version of Audition so I don't think that the Adobe devs would have tried running it with Windows on a Mac. You will probably have to wait until after the weekend for any comments from them.

5. Re: Appcrash with multitrack sessions in Audition CS6 on a MacBook Pro with Windows 7
CELindoro Nov 9, 2014 8:30 AM (in response to ryclark)I'm afraid you are right. At the worst I'm more than 50% of the audition users on a mac with windows. To solve the problem within a passable time I would like to change to the mac version of audition. But unfortunately it's impossible to use the mac version with a windows licence. And CS6 licences (mac audition) are not longer available (only at a moon rate).
Because of the weekend we can pass the time with the latest news of my trouble-shooting.
The crash is not only within the multitrack session but also within the waveform view: when I try to change the sampling rate (Edit -> Convert Sample Type) the programme crashes with the same problem signature. And here it crashes with all sampling rates , including 44.1k audio files. On the other hand I can play all sampling rates within the waveform view.
I compared the logfile from the predecessor of the MacBook , a LG Notebook with windows vista and a working Au CS6 with the current logfile of the Mac: They are identical at the beginning and at the end (termination sequence). But after " Initializing AuScripting" there is a "DLMS 6.0x39 FileServer startup code: 0" and the listing of a couple of codecs in the Notebook logfile - but not so in the Mac logfile.
Also the logfile of my workstation with a working Au CS6 shows this "DLMS 6.0x39 FileServer startup code" - line. Because of the two working and one crashing computer this part of the logfile seems to be important ??
Logfile audition predecessor (Notebook) - detail
A blank line is only to arrange the logfile more clearly - it doesn't stand for missing lines.

6. Re: Appcrash with multitrack sessions in Audition CS6 on a MacBook Pro with Windows 7
ryclark Nov 9, 2014 8:46 AM (in response to CELindoro)Creative Suite 6 is where you can buy Audition CS6 from. Audition is on the second page. I would have thought that Adobe would have let you have it at one of the upgrade prices.

7. Re: Appcrash with multitrack sessions in Audition CS6 on a MacBook Pro with Windows 7
CELindoro Nov 9, 2014 10:54 AM (in response to ryclark)Thank you for your hint. The Au CS 6 is € 414.51 or approximately $ 500 . A lot of bucks for a bug and the last but one but one version of a software. To get the upgrade version you need a Au 3.0 or a Soundbooth CS5 /CS5.5 licence!
