SteveG(AudioMasters) Nov 8, 2014 5:21 PM (in response to audio theater)A lot of things don't play nice on W8 - it's not really an upgrade. If W7 is working fine for you, why on earth change it?

Bob Howes Nov 8, 2014 6:28 PM (in response to SteveG(AudioMasters))It's not just Audition you have to worry about...there can be problems with a lot of audio interfaces etc. working with Windows 8.
Despite having an option to "upgrade" to Windows 8 for free (my purchase was more or less the day Win 8 was released) I have very deliberately chosen NOT to go that route. I need something reliable and stable for audio work and everything I've read indicates that Windows 8 does not fall into this category.
I'll be interested to see what Windows 10 or whatever they are calling it is going to be like but I'm not holding my breath for it to be an improvement for those of us who want a computer to do more than browse Facebook and watch Youtube.
