flash player "disappers" after install

I have Windows7 32bit all up to date but then I go to the Adobe website

and initiate Flash install.  All appears normal.  But when

IE or Opera try to access it the program/plugin is nowhere to be found.

Similarly it doesn't show up in Control Panel/Programs and Features

BUT is does show up if I use RevoUninstaller to look for it.

Anybody else had this problem?

(It downloads and runs fine in my ancient WinXP boxes).

thanks,

jim

That didn't work. Flash is still missing from IE.

Bingo, I did have the add-on switch for Flash set to disabled in IE. I vaguely remember disabling

my add-ons to "speed up loading" at some time in the past. I guess I should have investigated

the consequences before going merrily on my way.

thanks much,

jim
