1. Re: Is Photoshop Elements organizer 9 compatible with the most current version?
MichelBParis Nov 10, 2014 9:47 AM (in response to compatibility?)Do you intend to install PSE13 on the same computer which now holds your images and PSE9? If so, the PSE13 organizer should detect that there is an older catalog and convert it at installation time.
If you want to install PSE13 and a copy of your images on a new computer, see:
Use Backup, Restore to move catalog | Organizer | Elements 6 or later

compatibility? Nov 10, 2014 12:35 PM (in response to compatibility?)Thank you!
I plan to purchase a new computer shortly and move all image files along with the Adobe album information/data file to the same directory on the new machine. I was hoping that when i was installing the new software, the old data file would be recognized and it would be upgraded/imported into the new PSE13 album.
I have over 6,000 carefully tagged photographs, and i don't want to re-tag photos.

3. Re: Is Photoshop Elements organizer 9 compatible with the most current version?
MichelBParis Nov 10, 2014 12:44 PM (in response to compatibility?)The backup/restore process does exactly what you want.
When you restore the backup from the catalog manager, your picture files are restored on the new computer, and the old catalog (saved in the backup folder) is restored and converted to the new format. No additional work to do.
