    Re-installing Adobe Premiere Elements 10

      I had APE 10 on my HP laptop, Win 7 64 bit before. The hard drive went bad and I had it replaced. Trying to re-install, cannot get it to. I put in disk 2 for 64 bit and hit autoplay. That opens the install window. I hit install APE 10, and the install wizard opens asking to select a language. I say ok to English. It runs through saying it is setting up the install wizard. Next, windows installer comes up listing a bunch of info, i.e. "install options", "display options", "restart options", "logging options", and so on. I click ok, the only option given, the window closes, and that's it Nothing else happens. I have repeated this process with the setup application file inside the elements-64 bit folder instead of autoplay, and end up with the same result. I also tried windowsinstaller-kb893803-x86 and it seemed to install something. Tried again thinking it needed this installer first, but again the same result. Please help. I don't know what to try next. Thanks.

          After selecting to install the program and the English language, it says it's preparing the installer, then opens a window labelled windows installer. That's when the script comes up a follows:

                  o - Out-of-disk-space messages

                  p - Terminal properties

                  v - Verbose output

                  x - Extra debugging information

                  + - Append to existing log file

            Please uninstall all traces of your Premiere Elements 10. After the uninstall the usual Control Panel way, do a free ccleaner run through to get rid of any leftovers from incomplete installs uninstalls. CCleaner - PC Optimization and Cleaning - Free Download

            Then install the program with the antivirus and firewall(s) disabled.

             

            But, instead of using your installation disc for the install, please consider the following...

             

            Please download and install the free tryout of Premiere Elements 10 from the following web site and then insert your purchased serial number into it.

             

            Please read and carry out carefully the web site's "Note: Very Important Instructions" in order to avoid any Access Denied message.
