Did you perhaps edit or even delete the Blank daughter master slide? It is that master slide that is used for software simulations. Did you install the latest patch? Present version is 8.0.1.242

THANK YOU! I had edited the Master slide. Copying my slides into a blank project solved the issue

Is your question answered? This problem pops up regularly, users do edit the blank slide (instead of duplicating it and edit the duplicate) and then bump into a problem with software simulation slides. It could help other users if you marked this as answered.
