Analog-Digital Converter not visible as Source

Hello Forum,

I run a ADVC 110 Converter from Grass Valley (Canopus) to convert my old VHS to digital videos. It is connected via Firewire and works fine on my W8.1 computer. The converter is visible in Windows Movie Maker and works, but I can not make it visible and running in the new Adobe Premiere Elements 13.

Any Ideas? I tryed of course all the sources and options, I am usualy not so bad with computers.

DV Capture and HDV Capture are among the features that have been discontinued in Premiere Elements 13.
PRE_help has pointed Premiere Elements 13 users interested in this matter to workarounds described in the following....
