Why doesn't Flash Player install?

I have installed Adobe Flash Player 5 times but I keep getting a pop up dialogue box telling me that I must download an updated version.

It's downloaded using 14.9MB,but I still get " blocked plug-in" notices and can't view videos on for example YouTube.

  Why is it so difficult to do and why is it so complex to get help?

Maybe you have some remains of an older version still installed?

Two hours spent uninstalling and installing. Maybe my incompetence that it took so long but I think I've finally got Flash Player back!
