sharlavictor Nov 19, 2014 1:12 PM (in response to KCranch)It looks like this forum is not monitored by anyone. This is one of about seven that have replies at all and both are about how your question has not been answered. I am having a similar problem.

KCranch Nov 19, 2014 1:45 PM (in response to Test Screen Name)If you read my post you would see that I am unable to download either the Flash Installer “plugin” or the ActiveX Installer. When clicked upon, both say “couldn’t be downloaded”.

8. Re: Acrobat XI on Win8.1 asks for Flash to create a Pdf Portfolio?
KCranch Nov 19, 2014 2:35 PM (in response to Test Screen Name)When I click on the “Plugin” and select “Save As” I try to save to my Desktop the File name: install_flash_player_exe. The yellow bar at the bottom immediately says “ install_flash_player_exe couldn’t be downloaded.” I try the “Retry” button multiple times to no avail. I then select the “View downloads” button and it shows that it only downloaded 254 bytes of said file from the site “fpdownload.macromedia.com” and the message “This file couldn’t be downloaded.”

9. Re: Acrobat XI on Win8.1 asks for Flash to create a Pdf Portfolio?
gwoity Nov 19, 2014 2:38 PM (in response to KCranch)I found a solution... use Google Chrome, not Internet Explorer and go to the Adobe web site. Search for Flash Player. Install the Flash Player from there. I can now open the Portfolios fine!!!
