Where did you download Acrobat from? Was it from the Acrobat.com, or through the Adobe Application Manager? What happens when you download directly from the link on this page and install: Download Acrobat products | Standard, Pro | XI, X?
Then, make sure you're signed in as an administrator, and that any antivirus software is disabled when you install.

thank you for your e-mail. After I needed the program today, I called your
support. We bought Acrobat over the Creative Cloud, so I had to download
it from there. Unfortunately the link for the download didn’t work, but
your colleague showed me another link and now it is fine.
