    Can I align scanned text?

    SWinter82 Community Member

Hi, I had to scan a book for a client (264 pages) and I have deskewed the text with an action but does anyone know of a way I can quickly align the scanned text on the page so that the text is in (roughly) the same position for each page? Its a big ask but I thought that as Acrobat can deskew the text it may be possible to align it too?

      Thanks in advance.

The output of any scanner is an image, a picture of the text on the scanned paper.

Word processor like editing of the picture is not possible.

If you use Acrobat's ClearScan OCR method you will have more of a change touching up the OCR output.

However, PDF is not a word processing file format and does not tolerate word processor like "editing".

Touchups are possible and Acrobat XI provides the most robust support for this.
