    upgrading

    uncajohn Community Member

What is the oldest (earliest) version of the CS that can work with Maverics and/or Yosemite?

I currently run CS3, so what would be the least expensive way to upgrade, assuming it would be necessary – bearing in mind I only use PhotoShop, Illustrator, InDesign and Acrobat/Distiller?

Bearing in mind also that I'm a retired designer and a senior citizen!

Many thanks for any help and advice

There is no way to "upgrade". You are long past any eligibility cycles. You can only buy new software and that means CS6 or signing up for Creative Cloud. In the latetr case your CS3 might entitle you to a discount for the first year, but that's pretty much it. Depending on your technical skill and actual requirements you may get by with CS3, but it may be a lot of trouble to even get it installed and then things like printing functions or even more trivial opening files may be an issue, since Apple use different code to call up those panels...

            Thanks Mylenium

Looks like I'm stuck in the dark ages until I buy a new Mac and software!
